OCTOPUSES are one of most interesting ocean creatures and as we all know, they are famous for having eight tentacles and bulbous heads.
The World Animal Foundation has stated that octopuses have an excellent sense of touch.
Their suckers have receptors that enable them to taste what they are touching. There are also other amazing facts about these ocean creatures.
They have three hearts, amongst which two of them pump blood through their gills and the third keeps circulating blood to their organs.
Octopuses have copper-based blood, due to a protein called hemocyanin which allows them to survive in the deep ocean. In usual instances, animals would have one brain but octopuses have nine brains. These consist of one central brain and eight smaller ones at the base of each arm. – BY SCIENCE BRIDGE ACADEMY
