THE Sunway Nexis Mall at Kota Damansara is all set to come alive with a carnival that aims to raise science awareness and interest among parents and children.
It will also provide an opportunity for parents and children to interact and engage themselves in the many fun-filled learning activities.
According to the organising committee chairperson Magnus Mong the event will be a platform for parents to spend their time with children and to enjoy the world of science as children perceive it.
Speaking at a press conference to highlight the event, Mong said: “Activities such as exhibition, photo booths, free health checks, nutrition consultation, nutrition workshop, and parenting talks will be conducted during the event.”
She also said Vermiculture, mushroom cultivation demonstration and family colouring contests will also be held to forge a bonding between children and their parents.
The event is jointly organised by Ganofarm R&D Sdn Bhd, VMS Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Bioeconomy Corporation, Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre and Princeread Academy.
According to Ganofarm R&D CEO, Cheng Poh Guat, the event will also host a special event to highlight interest in mushrooms, its benefit as a healthy diet and mushroom cultivation.
In addition, a charity fund named “Love in Caring Hands” will also be launched to help the needy including poor families, orphanages, disabled children, single mothers and others.
