IT’S PRETTY common for us to reach out over the counter for lozenges whenever we have a sore throat. Sore throat is most commonly caused by viral infections just like the cold and flu which resolves on its own. Sometimes it may occur due to bacterial infections which would require antibiotics to overcome complications. Symptoms of sore throat include itchiness and irritation in the throat especially when swallowing. Sore throat lozenges help to soothe your throat by lubricating the throat lining to ease the irritation.
