Virman Juri
Virman Juri is a recent graduate in Biomedicine from Sunway University. He embarked on his journey in science communication during an internship with the Petri Dish. Despite lacking experience in science communication or strong writing skills, Virman was eager to explore new things.
Through this experience, he developed an awareness of the importance of science communication to society. From Virman’s perspective, a reason for the dwindling interest in science among the Malaysian populace is the lack of communication between the scientific and non-scientific communities.
Driven to bridge that gap, he regularly contributes article pieces to the Petri Dish, communicating news of scientific development from the local scene to the general public. Virman believes that to create a generation of critical thinkers and innovators, science needs to be communicated outside of the laboratory.
