Burger King's Impossible Whopper

BURGER KING’S tie-up with start-up Impossible Foods is seeking to make inroads with customers on plant-based diets. Called Impossible Whopper, meat-less version of America’s favourite burger is made up of mostly soy and potato protein, coconut oil, sunflower oil and key ingredient called heme. Heme, which is produced using a genetically engineered yeast that is fermented and multiplied gives the impossible meat its meat-like taste and red blood-like colour.
